Beauty School Dropout: Pixi glow tonic

Oh God, the sun is shining. Terrifying. I mean, have you shed your winter skin? Perhaps you need a little help. Perhaps this is why toners have made such a dazzling comeback in recent months. Exfoliating toners in particular. These are products that do more than balance skin, they resurface it. They use their virtuous acids and AHAs to remove all the dead skin cells that build up to cause dullness (corpse) and congestion (spots). You have to find your own way with these as they need to match your skin sensitivity: too active and you’ll tingle and peel, too passive and you won’t feel their muscle.

Pixi Glow Tonic takes an energetic middle road between gentle and hardcore. It contains 5% Glycolic Acid to sweep away all the gunk and have a go at pigmentation at the same time; Aloe to soothe; Ginseng for radiance and Witch Hazel to firm and tone. But, just as you need to stretch after exercise, you need to be careful with your skin after an exfoliating toner as it will be vulnerable. Which means a nice little massage with your moisturiser and SPF. But, honestly, if you’re stuck in a skin rut, this might be the stuff to set your face free…
