There is fake tan and then there is Amanda Harrington fake tan. La crème de la bronzage crème. This is red carpet tanning. Wedding day tanning. Knowing you’re going to bump into an ex tanning. Other fake tans might give you colour, but Amanda’s tan makes you prettier. Contours. Architects. It’s like walking around with your own Director of Photography. Remarkable stuff.
Until now her tan has come in spray form and has required an incredibly effective, fat, angled brush, making the whole thing just a little more expensive (at entry point – the brushes last forever) and a little more cumbersome to carry around. Not that BSD ever cared because the results are so peerless.
But now – for travelling light and for a smaller initial investment – she has launched Tonal Tan Drops and, guys, get some or on the waiting list. It’s that Amanda Tan (that’s what the Beautiful People call her) usual schtick of adding a few drips to your face or body cream but the colour is so gorgeous, subtle and…expensive. And it has that special Amanda Harrington thing whereby it can be used across the cheekbones and high planes of the face (exactly where the sun would catch you, were you to ever, ahem, tan) for movie star definition and glow. Don’t go too pale – even though BSD is not olive skinned she uses the Natural Olive shade. If you are feeling a bit rubbish, shove some Amanda Tan on. It takes a lot of therapy to be this shallow. Try it.
