How do you celebrate your friendships?

I always feel like celebrating friendships is never a priority amongst everything else, which is so bad! When I’m with my oldest friends (who both live in New York – so rarely happens) we drink a lot of wine, become very, very Scottish and gossip about people we haven’t seen in 10 years. It’s the best thing in the world.

My best friend and I went to Paris recently. Revisiting old haunts. Dancing. Eating. Heaven…

About to meet friends that I have known for 37 years . I see them on average once every five years or so. Do the long absences make the friendships stronger?

I am going to have an anniversary dinner. There will be speeches, tears, laughter, toasts. I hope she will show up.
